Eclipse

Sculptural beauty to adorn your presence with a modern and cosmopolitan attitude.

For a few minutes, the sky forgets how to behave.

Chapter I

First Contact

Across cultures, a solar eclipse has never just been an astronomical event. Norse legend tells of a wolf swallowing the sun. Ancient Chinese astronomers described a dragon devouring it. For a few minutes, the ordinary rules of day and night stop applying, and the sky does something it isn't supposed to do.

Eclipse begins from that same disruption. The concept behind the collection is to figuratively replicate alien shapes. Sculptural forms that feel like they arrived from somewhere else, built to give the wearer a mysterious, extraterrestrial, sensual, sophisticated aura.

Chapter II

The Sun's Corona

When the moon fully covers the sun, the only thing left visible is the corona - the sun's outer atmosphere, normally invisible - briefly appearing as a faint halo of light escaping around a black disc. It's the one moment this "crown" can be seen with the naked eye.

Eclipse translates that same idea into form: sculpted lines in black finish, edged in white diamonds or colour, so the light appears to escape from the shadow rather than sit on top of it.

Chapter III

Hands That Remember

Every Eclipse piece begins on François Santo's own bench. Trained in his family's jewellery business from the age of 16 and tutored by his jeweller uncle, François went on to train and collaborate with the renowned Italian gem setter, engraver, enameller and painter Elvio Sorrentino, carrying three generations of Roman jewellery-making into his own hands.

Described as "a poet-dreamer wrapped in an engineer's mind," he sketches each design before a single stone is set, and sees every piece through to completion in our Sydney atelier.

Nothing here is designed by committee, and every piece that leaves the bench has passed through the same hands that drew it.

Chapter IV

The Embrace

A ring, by nature, is a shape that holds. Nothing in the collection makes that more literal than the piece the atelier calls the Mother Ring. Two forms encircling one another, the smaller nestled inside the larger.

The Mother Ring is Love, in its most daring form.

It celebrates a woman who is instinctive, powerful, and unapologetically magnetic. She creates life, holds worlds together, and moves through it all with presence and desire intact.

It honours a femininity that is strong and sensual, nurturing yet commanding.

Motherhood is power, and power is undeniably attractive.
