The origin of the enamelling technique dates back to ancient Pharaonic Egypt, after which it reached its zenith during the Art Nouveau period of the great French goldsmiths with the likes of Lalique.
What will always fascinate me is the extreme vivacity and dynamism of lights on the enamel surfaces.
This has been an ongoing project that started in 2007 and finished with the addition of the bottom part in 2021.
I loved the original enamelled clip Earrings.
However, I always felt that something in the narrative was missing.
There was a higher level to reach, which was achieved with the addition of the bottom part. I love the almost multi-sensory experience that the earrings convey.
