SANTO in Shanghai
We are honoured to share that François Santo has been invited to exhibit in Shanghai this June as one of only 10 international jewellery artists selected for a special exhibition presented by Informa Markets at the Fosun Foundation Shanghai Centre.
To be included alongside internationally recognised names such as Stephen Webster, Victor Tuzlukov and Victor Mayer is both humbling and deeply exciting.
The exhibition will bring together a curated group of artists from across the world, each invited for a distinct creative language, artistic vision and approach to craftsmanship.
A language of craftsmanship
Every SANTO creation begins with a story.
Some pieces are shaped by history. Others by mythology, architecture, symbolism or the quiet tension between strength and delicacy. What connects them is the hand behind the work: the detail, the patience and the intention that turn precious materials into pieces with presence.
For this special exhibition, a selection of one-of-a-kind creations will travel with François to Shanghai, including works that continue his exploration of unconventional materials, sculptural silhouettes and contemporary fine jewellery.
From the Sydney bench to Shanghai
SANTO has always been rooted in the intimacy of the bench, where each detail is considered and each piece is brought to life through skill, instinct and time.
To exhibit internationally is to allow the work to travel, to be seen in a new light and encountered by a new audience.
Shanghai, with its energy, scale and deep appreciation for art and design, offers a powerful setting for this exchange.
An invitation to connect
Most of all, François looks forward to meeting collectors, clients and lovers of craftsmanship during this special occasion.
This moment represents more than an exhibition. It is a continuation of SANTO’s world: where jewellery becomes story, material becomes language and craftsmanship becomes memory.
Shanghai, we cannot wait.
