Midnight
Inspired by the magnetic presence of the modern woman, Midnight explores confidence, mystery and the beauty of contrast. Black and white diamonds, intense gemstones and precise silhouettes create jewellery with a distinctly cosmopolitan spirit.
Each piece is designed for the woman who enters a room entirely as herself.
Chapter I
After Dark
The atmosphere changes when night falls.
City lights appear across glass and polished stone. Shadows lengthen. Music moves behind closed doors. The pace becomes more instinctive, and elegance acquires a sense of intrigue.
Midnight was born within this transformation.
The collection captures the quiet intensity of the hours after dark through deep hues, luminous surfaces and forms that reveal themselves gradually. Every jewel holds a trace of the night: controlled, magnetic and filled with possibility.
Chapter II
The Woman Who Owns the Room
Midnight is a portrait of feminine presence.
She carries strength with composure and sensuality with confidence. Her character contains many dimensions, expressed according to the moment, the place and the person she chooses to become.
The jewellery follows this same instinct. Bold silhouettes sit with effortless refinement. Light and darkness exist within a single composition. Each piece complements the wearer’s individuality without defining it for her.
Midnight celebrates a woman who understands her own power and moves through the world with purpose.
Chapter III
Hands That Remember
Every Midnight piece begins on François Santo's own bench. Trained in his family's jewellery business from the age of 16 and tutored by his jeweller uncle, François went on to train and collaborate with the renowned Italian gem setter, engraver, enameller and painter Elvio Sorrentino, carrying three generations of Roman jewellery-making into his own hands.
Described as "a poet-dreamer wrapped in an engineer's mind," he sketches each design before a single stone is set, and sees every piece through to completion in our Sydney atelier.
Nothing here is designed by committee, and every piece that leaves the bench has passed through the same hands that drew it.
Chapter IV
The Midnight Hour
At the centre of the night lies a moment suspended between one day and the next.
The Midnight Hour captures this atmosphere through platinum, polished onyx and New Age diamonds. Onyx forms descend like sculptural shadows, while diamonds create a framework of light around them.
The design evokes an Art Deco fantasy filled with champagne, live jazz and movement beneath glittering chandeliers. Its dramatic proportions transform the jewel into an object of presence, created for evenings that continue long after the clock strikes twelve.
Midnight Hour expresses the collection at its most theatrical: mysterious, sophisticated and entirely unforgettable.
